John started out as a Signwriter working his way through and apprentiship focused on brush and specialised paint applications (gold leafing and the like) to eventually become the head signwirter at Oasis Industries (The Coca Cola companies New Zealand Sign and display shop).
Through out his professional and personal life John has always had a strong interest in painting and experimenting with different paint applications. He has developed his painting style to mostly deal with New Zealand culture and lifestyle, with particular interest in the landscape of the Coromandel.
John has participated in a number of exhibitions both locally and nationally and has won awards for logo and design work.
